Each Friday the team at the Triangle East Chamber participates in a government affairs call with the North Carolina Chamber Federation. This week’s call included an update from the North Carolina Department of Revenue.

The North Carolina Department of Revenue will launch Phase 2 of the Business Recovery Grant Program on Monday May 2, 2022. This phase of the program will allow businesses that weren’t previously eligible for funds to qualify for assistance.

Businesses that experienced an economic loss of at least 20 percent during the pandemic will be eligible for up to $500,000. The application deadline is June 1, 2022.

Businesses are eligible to apply for this funding even if they received previous Federal funds.

Businesses eligible for funds include:

  • Farmers and Agribusinesses
  • Gyms and Personal Training businesses
  • Salons and Barbershops
  • Massage Therapy businesses
  • Dental offices
  • Law firms
  • Doctor offices
  • Interior Design businesses
  • Hardware Stores
  • Pharmacies
  • Landscapers
  • Tailor and Dry Cleaning businesses

Additional information can be found here. The state is expected to launch an updated recovery grant page. When that page is live, the Triangle East Chamber will provide the information to our members.
