One of the functions of the Triangle East Chamber of Commerce is to promote the unique assets of the area to attract, create and expand business opportunities while improving the sell-being of all of its citizens. The Economic Development Division advances commercial, industrial and civic development; encourages the economic and social progress of the Triangle East region; works with city, county and state governments to facilitate the production and distribution of goods and services; and encourages an atmosphere in which private enterprise may operate profitably and efficiently.
The division is not only involved in economic recruitment and retention, but also addresses community marketing and transportation. The Chamber recognizes the importance of working with our neighbors and is involved in a number of regional organizations.

The Triangle East region recognizes that workforce development is the key to long-term quality of life of our community. The Chamber works with business and education partners to improve tomorrow's workforce. Competition, quality and productivity, the same forces that drive our economy, are now driving our school system.
Therefore, the mission of the Education Division of the Chamber is to support and promote high quality education, thereby elevating the skills of the local workforce; which encourages future development, attracts and retains residents and businesses and provides a vitality to the area that benefits all citizens.

- School visitations and promotion
The Chamber's Education Committee meets on the first Monday of each month at 12:00 noon. Some meetings are held at the Chamber and others are held off-site, usually at a school. The number-one reason companies join the Triangle East Chamber of Commerce is to make new business contacts. Our Membership Services Division develops programs to put members in touch with prospective customers and works to retain current Chamber members and recruit new members.
Guiding potential clients to Chamber businesses is one of the benefits the division provides its members. Through referrals and organized cost efficient opportunities for members to reach their markets, the Member Services Division works to improve the bottom line of its members by increasing their business.

Chamber Women's Business Network (CWBN)
The Chamber Women's Business Network focuses on the development of professional women through events that support scholarships for continued educational opportunities for women.
