Based on the Center’s updated guide, Principles & Practices: Best Practices for North Carolina Nonprofits, this interactive workshop offers both new and experienced nonprofit leaders an exploration of twelve core management principles, from financial management and civic engagement to fundraising and legal compliance, for nonprofits to improve and strengthen their organizations. Bridgette Burge is director of programs with the North Carolina Center for
Nonprofits, where she manages the Center's learning opportunities, including
webinars, workshops, and special projects. She also supports many of the
Center's collaborations with capacity-builders and partner non-profits. She has more than two decades of nonprofit experience serving as a board member, executive director, fundraiser, program manager, and volunteer. Bridgette earned her bachelor’s degree from Rhodes College, her masters from the University of Memphis, and a nonprofit management certificate from Duke University. She loves living in Raleigh with her partner, their two children, and their goofy rescue beagle.
