SMITHFIELD - Donnie E. and Linda V. Lassiter of Selma have named the North Carolina Archives and Local History Room of the new Learning Resource Center at Johnston Community College.
Donnie Lassiter is retired from Heartland Payment Systems, a company he co-founded in 1997. He currently holds many service leadership positions including the chairman of the board for North Carolina Foundation for Christian Ministries. He is also a member of the Board of Trustees at Mount Olive College and the Board of Directors for Johnston Health Foundation. Linda Lassiter currently serves on the JCC Foundation Board of Directors and the JCC Performing Arts Advisory Board. The Lassiters are members of Selma Original Free Will Baptist Church.

To date, 11 spaces have been named in the LRC. The naming opportunities are being used to create endowments that will support a new fund used to develop and expand instructional opportunities and meet emergent institutional needs at JCC.
For more information about naming and giving opportunities at JCC, please contact Twyla Wells, executive director of the JCC Foundation, at (919) 209-2119.
