SSS student is finalist in national photography contestFebruary 07, 2012
SMITHFIELD - Smithfield-Selma High School Senior Caroline Lore is a finalist in the 32nd Annual College & High School Photography Contest co-sponsored by Photographer’s FORUM magazine and Nikon. Over 18,000 photographs from the U.S., Canada, and around the world were entered into this contest, and Caroline’s photo was selected in the finalist group. Caroline is waiting to hear back whether or not her photo will receive higher honors. As a finalist, her photo will appear in Photographer’s Forum’s publication Best of College & High School Photography 2012, which is scheduled to be released in June 2012.
Caroline Lore has already made quite a name for herself as a photographer. Last year, she earned 1st place in a Youth Photography Contest sponsored by NC Wildlife magazine for students aged 14-17, and her winning photo appeared in the January 2011 edition of NC Wildlife. She also does freelance photography work for interested families and peers. Caroline will attend East Carolina University in the fall where she plans to study professional photography. She would like to use her photography skills in the fashion industry one day. SSS is very proud of Caroline and has no doubt she will reach her goals.
